Sometimes it’s not about the glory – it’s for the love of the game. As part of the agency’s commitment to giving back through the donation of both time and money, GCG employees are encouraged to seek out pro bono opportunities that have meaning to them. This is often where we find some of our most inspiring work. Below is a highlight of two wonderful organizations to which we are currently donating our services.

Cherokee Creek Music Festival
Music meets generosity at the annual Cherokee Creek Music Festival (CCMF) in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Put on by Cherokee Crossroads, Inc., a 501(c)(3), the CCMF benefits children’s charities across Texas and the nation. Its lineup of musical artists has included Pat Green, Jack Ingram, Paul Thorn and Hal Ketchum, to name a few.

We are proud to serve on the CCMF Planning Committee for the second year. Among other things, we are responsible for spearheading the planning and implementation of the CCMF Sponsor Golf Scramble. In 2009, we had almost 100 golfers participate!

BuzzFree PROMises Dress Giveaway

Prom night should be a night to remember - and no girl should have to miss it because she can’t afford a dress.

BuzzFree PROMises Dress Giveaway awards prom dresses to young women who pledge to stay drug and alcohol free on prom night. The event reinforces a healthy lifestyle, while allowing girls the opportunity to have a memorable and safe prom experience that otherwise would not be possible.

We are excited to embark on our third year of donating our time to this worthwhile event handling all publicity, media training, and event day support. A time or two, we’ve also been credited with helping participants find the perfect dress!
